Sony Avritt Steier is the past and current chair of Light the Night with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She and her family have been personally impacted by the disease when she lost her best friend and sister Tina. Her primary civic an philanthropic passion is to eradicate Leukemia and Lymphoma through research funding where she serves on the local chapter’s board. Sony is president and operating partner of Steier Properties, a diverse real estate portfolio of multi-family housing that includes condos, developments, single family homes and vacation rentals. She has a BS in Business Administration from Sullivan University and is an alumni of Delta Zeta Sorority. Sony and her husband Joe support varies charities, civic organizations and numerous academic institutions throughout the city including Bellarmine University, Kids Cancer Alliance, Hand In Hand, the Parklands and was co-chair of the Sacred Heart Academy Interlude. Sony is the proud mother of four children: Joseph, Jacqueline, Luke and Ava.
