A native of Havana, Florida, a small rural tobacco town fourteen miles north of Tallahassee, Pearl prides herself on her humble beginnings. They are the traits that keep her motivated to never forget those that paved the way for her success.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. Before her retirement in 2017, she faithfully served the Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville Florida for more than 36 years. Whether as a Speech Language Pathologist, Classroom Teacher, Instructional Reading Coach, Assistant Principal, Principal, District Executive Director, Assistant Superintendent or Educational Consultant, she has dedicated her life to serving others.
Because of a life struggle that she and her husband faced in 2015 with the death of their only child, Pearl became passionately aware of the need for knowledgeable Empowerment Coaches. To combat that need, she positioned herself to become an Internationally Certified Women’s Empowerment Coach, where she facilitates women’s luncheons, coordinates empowerment sessions, and trains others aspiring to become Empowerment Coaches.
As a two times bestselling author, all of the books she has published have concentrated on empowering women. Whether, it was her first publication, FACE IT: Life’s a Journey-A Memoire of Triumph After Loss, or her most recent publication, Women of Bravery: Balancing the Scales of Life, Love and Liberation, Pearl is committed to making sure women have the skills they need to face any obstacle life throws at them.
