Rev. Dr. Cecelia Harris is moving courageously, purposefully, intentionally and confidently into God’s ever emerging preferred future for her life. Serving as a Mentor, Visionary Consultant, Coach and Pastor, she has a demonstrated track record of moving persons from places of self-sabotage to an understanding of who they are and the latent potential that awaits their recognition and activation.

She is the founder of Vital Connections Ministries international with subscribers that include entrepreneurs, political and community leaders, as well as a plethora of individuals who serve in every area of human endeavor.

Rev. Dr. Harris’ passion for human potential realization has emerged in the formation of a concept she calls transformational theology, whose tenets enrich her mentoring, coaching and preaching philosophy. Her dissertation, Soul Strength, addressed the issue of internal oppression and the victimization that is a natural by-product of systemic racism. Her cross-cultural mentoring and coaching have enriched her understanding of human exploitation that weaves its tentacles beyond the boundaries of race and gender.

She has an earned doctorate from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. In addition, she has a Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, a Master of Education from National-Lewis University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Governors State University, all located in the State of Illinois. Rev. Dr. Cecelia Harris has served in pastoral ministry since 1995.

She has received numerous awards across Illinois from religious, political and community institutions including the prestigious Dr. Dorothy I. Height Racial Justice Award from the Lake County YWCA and the Phenomenal Woman recognition from the honorable Jesse White, Illinois Secretary of State. Waukegan Township awarded her The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major Award. Add to that a Senate Recognition Award for her community work, and another from the then major of Chicago. Richard M. Daley. From these achievements and others, you have the portrait of a woman whose passion and commitment to moving persons and communities beyond the status quo to an engaged constituency who then become influencers and empowerment brokers to others has been well documented.

Rev. Dr. Harris’ international travels have taken her to Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Italy, Costa Rica, and Nassau. While in South Africa, at the invitation of the Ambassadors of Christ Church, she collaborated with the Women’s Council of Illinois and designed the 2012 Visionary Conference where she also served as one of the keynote speakers.

Manna Moments: A Journey From Captivity To Liberation, provides readers with an opportunity to circumvent the issue of low self-esteem as they navigate to a place of self-actualization that is both empowering to themselves and others.

Rev. Dr. Cecelia Harris is married to Leonard S. Harris. They are the proud parents of two children, Angela and Paul.
