Sally has been in private practice since 2004. With her Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology and being a Certified Advanced Gestalt Therapist, a Certified Internal Family Systems Therapist, a Certified Play Therapist, a Board Certified Music Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor, she uses a unique blend of these therapeutic methods and specializes in working with Self-Regulation - dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and grief, with clients (adults, families, young children and teens) experiencing these issues. Within the therapeutic process the client learns to be their own therapist by working with inner parts and discovering inner leadership of Self. Self has leadership and healing qualities - perspective, confidence, compassion and acceptance - crucial to our highest, most harmonious functioning. Patiently being with clients from the deepest core is the most important resource we have to offer and Sally often uses music, drumming, movement and breath ! in her client work. Being creative, open and compassionate, from her core, she offers a space for clients to journey within and discover themselves, allowing for the possibilities of Positive Inner Change.
Sally also presents webinars, provides Supervision and Consultation for other therapists and has done seminars nationally for PESI (Professional Education Systems, Inc) on “Introducing Music into your Therapy Practice”.
As a professional speaker, she has presented nationally on topics such as “The Psychology of Music”, “Music Sound and Psychotherapy Integration…a winning combination.” “Attunement through Rhythm and Sound: Tools for Play Therapy”, and has written several books on performance anxiety; for example: “Performance Anxiety…from fear to freedom”.
